The reporter learned from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products on the 11th that Chinese manufacturers will use legal weapons to actively respond to the US domestic industry’s application for double-reverse investigations on steel wheels exported to the United States. The industry conducts consultations, and strives to resolve the trade friction between the two sides by means of industry cooperation.
The domestic industry in the United States recently filed an application for anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations on steel wheels exported from China to the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce. It is expected that the U.S. Department of Commerce will decide whether to file the case on April 19, and the U.S. International Trade Commission will hold a hearing on the preliminary ruling of the case on April 20.
The relevant person in charge of the Chamber of Commerce of Machinery and Electronics said that with the continuous development and growth of my country's auto parts industry, some auto parts companies have reached the international level, but in the process of competing with foreign companies, some foreign companies cannot win in the process of normal business competition. Therefore, trade remedy measures are frequently used to restrict and suppress my country's relevant export enterprises.
The person in charge said that in recent years, Chinese wheel companies have been subjected to anti-dumping investigations by South Africa, India, Australia, and the European Union four times. While causing difficulties for Chinese enterprises to export, it also severely harmed the interests of the majority of downstream users and consumers in the aforementioned countries. If this case is filed, it will be the first double-reverse investigation initiated by the United States on my country's mechanical and electrical products since 2009.
