Zhang Yujing, chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, stated at the press conference of the 2011 China-Russia (Dongning) Mechanical and Electrical Products Fair yesterday that the current China-Russia mechanical and electrical trade is showing a good recovery growth momentum, and it is expected that bilateral mechanical and electrical products will be seen in 2015. The trade volume is expected to reach 30 billion U.S. dollars. He predicts that this year's mechanical and electrical import and export trade will maintain a good growth momentum.

Zhang Yujing said that the rapid economic development and strong complementarity between China and Russia have provided broad space for cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. According to data from the Chamber of Commerce of Electrical and Mechanical Services, China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products to Russia in 2010 were US$13.51 billion, a year-on-year increase of 85.1%, and accounted for 45.6% of exports to Russia for the entire year last year.
